The Seven Chakras
Throughout your body, you have 7 Chakras. Learning what each of the 7 Chakras are and how to control them will lead to a better you. Learning what each connects to and what they represent can be the difference between fulfilment or sadness and regret.
Knowledge is power and in this article, we will get acquainted with our tools. Each individual Chakra corresponds to a place on the body and each release a different type of energy. Below we’ll take a look at where each of those places are and how they affect our well being in their unique ways. We are our own canvas and each individual Chakra, our paints.
Root Chakra – Muladhara
Placement – At the bottom of your spine, close to the perineum.
Blocked emotional state– Anxious, unstable.
Balanced emotional state – Grounded, secure, stable.
Sacral Chakra – Svadhishthana
Placement – Just under your belly button.
Blocked – Lonely, lack of sexual drive, uncreative.
Balanced – Passionate, boosted creativity, in touch with others.
Solar Plexus Chakra – Manipura
Placement – In your stomach region.
Blocked – Low self-esteem, inferior.
Balanced – Confident. Positive self-image. In charge of your own life.
Heart Chakra – Anahata
Placement – In the centre of your chest.
Blocked – Hateful, judgemental, unempathetic, lack of trust.
Balanced – Loving, understanding, peaceful.
Throat Chakra – Vishuddha
Placement – Over your throat.
Blocked – Misunderstood, inability to express yourself, poor listening skills.
Balanced – Clear expression, diplomatic, creative in communicating.
Third Eye Chakra – Ajna
Placement – Between your eyes.
Blocked – Sees only the physical, lack of good judgement, unable to imagine.
Balanced – Clear intuition, vivid imagination, sees beyond physicality.
Crown Chakra – Sahasrara
Placement – The very top of your head.
Blocked – Sadness, weak-minded, difficulty learning.
Balanced – Strong Faith, intellectual, full of wisdom, love.
